CITIZENS UNITED! ‘SCREEN FOR LIFE’ JOINS NATIONAL SOLIDARITY CAMPAIGN

PHCC’s National Breast and Bowel Cancer Screening Program spreads message of support for HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani with iconic image on Mobile Screening Unit

The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has joined a growing number of public and private sector entities by showcasing the iconic image of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on the ‘Screen For Life’ mobile cancer screening unit.

“Qatar’s visionary leaders are integral to the work we do – without their vision, support and leadership we would not be able to achieve our collective aims,” said Dr. Shaikha Abu Shaikha, PHCC Cancer Program Manager. “Projecting this iconic image of HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on our mobile screening unit is our way of showing our support, giving back and spreading the important, historical message of peace and unity.”

The ‘Screen For Life’ mobile screening unit, now in its second year of operation, and is visiting regularly communities that are not within easy reach of three fixed screening centers. It is also a key enabler in PHCC’s ongoing mandate to raise cancer awareness levels in the country and facilitate breast screening for eligible patients. The mobile is currently located in Madinat Khalifa Health Center throughout August providing free mammogram to eligible ladies in prior appointment. To schedule a screening appointment, ladies are advised to call the program’s call center on 8001112.
