‘Screen For Life’ partners with Qatar’s major malls to broaden ‘October Means Breast Cancer Screening’ message with engaging shopper initiative

The ‘Screen For Life’, Qatar’s National Breast and Bowel Cancer Screening program, recently partnered with major shopping malls to host an in-mall activation program in support of its month-long ‘October Means Breast Cancer Screening’ campaign to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, increase awareness levels and encourage as many women as possible across the State to undergo a complimentary breast cancer screening.

Doha Festival City, Villagio Mall and Landmark Mall, showed tremendous support for the ‘Screen for Life’ campaign, recognizing the program as a National cause, and allocated space within their premises for ‘Screen For Life’ awareness booths and the dedicated mobile screening unit.

Furthermore, Doha Festival City  hosted the mobile screening unit in its premises providing on-site screenings for eligible visitors.

The booths enabled the ‘Screen For Life’ team members to engage with shoppers and provide them with an in-depth insight into the goals of the program and the processes involved in order to drive home the message of how screening plays a crucial role in the early detection of cancer. The team distributed educational materials and encouraged shoppers to book a free screening at one of ‘Screen For Life’ dedicated screening facilities at Al Wakra, Leabaib and Rawdat Al Khail Health Centers

The month-long breast cancer awareness campaign is a key addition to ‘Screen For Life’ efforts to drive cancer awareness among Qatari citizens and residents. Led by the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC), the interactive in-mall activation in collaboration with the support of Qatar’s major shopping destinations plays a crucial role in the success of the program across the State.
